About Bre Montes - Columbus Tattoo Artist
Bre's journey kicked off from a deeply personal piece—a sunflower tattoo in memory of her artistic grandma. Despite being inked at just 15, it's a tattoo that's stood the test of time.
From those early days, her fascination with tattoos only grew, inspired by her family's eclectic tastes—from her dad's prison ink to her mom’s love for tattoo TV shows. Though initially on a path to fly fighter jets for the Navy, life had other plans. A pivotal moment came when she stepped into a tattoo shop to commemorate her late boyfriend and ended up being offered a job!
Fast forward through a two-year apprenticeship during the pandemic lockdowns, where she perfected her craft, Bre now loves tackling big, bold, and colorful projects. Think stunning lighthouses, vivid sunsets, and intricate character designs like Jessica Rabbit!
But there’s more to Bre than tattoos. When she’s not engraving glass or laying ink on skin, she’s out riding her motorcycle, clocking nearly 7,000 miles since she got it in 2023.
